Speechless.. You must read and rewatch how truly amazing this episode is.
Uzui and the Wives
One of the biggest questions you might have is, “what is the relationship like between Uzui and his wives?” We get a sweet, yet slightly somber scene between the four. It’s a nice contrast and used at the right time to focus the viewer on the dynamic of the family of 4. We are seeing a masterpiece in creating the right balance of ebbs and flows of each episode.
Last episode we got Uzui’s shinobi backstory and now, we get to understand what his purpose is in his life.
It’s made clear that Uzui’s happy ending, would be to spend the rest of his life with his wives.
As the end of the first half of the episode ends, there’s a huge hint that this is going to be the big finale regarding the family of 4, as Hinatsuru reiterates Uzui’s wish to be together.
An Unbeatable Last Half of the Episode Begins!
The show continues the “Oh my f**king God” kind of reaction! Whoever conducts the sequencing of the scene, does an absolutely amazing job. Every moment was never wasted throughout the episode. Every scene and every word meant something.
There is nothing short of an array of breathing techniques being used throughout the episode. The episode of Blood Demon Art and Breathing Techniques galore. Please go back and watch again because this is epic movie quality here!
Don’t Forget About Tanjiro!
As much as the focus is on Uzui and his wives being a “last hoorah” type of moment, don’t get forget about the main protagonist. With Uzui seeing Hinatsuru almost being c**ked in front of his eyes, Tanjiro takes another important step forward.
Realizing that every breathing technique is built upon different variations, Tanjiro mixes the Hinokami Kagura and Water Breathing to slice off Gyutaro’s arm.
Gyutaro Will Not Go Down!
Uzui finally escapes the sash strikes holding him back for a 2nd attempt at beheading!
Zenitsu & Inosuke vs Daki
Zenitsu for the first time, shows how intelligent and great he is.. while sleeping. We never got to see Zenitsu being calm, collective and helping lead Inosuke versus Daki.
Tanjiro, Zenitsu & Inosuke vs Daki
How Do You Top Another Epic Moment After Another?!
Previously, I thought the show could have ended with Uzui cutting Daki’s head off. Now, we get an ending to an episode that is a perfect cliff hanger. As Inosuke is running off with Daki’s head, Gyutaro bursts out of nowhere to scythe pierce Inosuke down the middle of his chest.
There is a ton I want to say about Inosuke, but you’ll just have to wait until the next episode!
The moment at the end of the episode takes you on a complete 180. When you think the 3 main heroes defeated one-half of Upper Demon Rank 6, the tides turn in an instant. That moment of extreme optimism and “ahaha! the good guys always win” turns instantly into, “okay, how the hell are they going to get out of this one..?”
There were multiple twists and turns. The most beautifully executed one, happens to be at the end of an episode. We are all salivating for the next episode to start. What a show!
Speechless.. Absolutely speechless..
There’s no way anyone can write something that tops off how amazing these episodes have been. Demon Slayer does a perfect job at creating enough motivation to care about characters, while execution every episode to the absolute best I have ever seen.
When the moment is grim, the scene, the music and the characters hit us perfectly with heart pounding, jaw dropping moments of despair. When our heroes are rising up to the challenge, the moment is meant with chills, epic music and visual art porn; exceedingly in succession one after another—rising you up to get hit with that grand satisfying moment. In arguably, the most diluted genre in all of anime, Shonen, Demon Slayer has risen to the top of the class as the best one in decades.
Anime Vs Manga
This episode covers Chapter 90, 91 and parts of 92. The scene after the intro ended with Uzui and the wives are not in those chapters that are covered.
