This is ALMOST everything you would want in a Dark Magician Girl figure!
Whether you are looking for a classic design or a fresh new design of a Dark Magician Girl figure, this one created by First 4 Figures knocks it out of the park!
This figure comes in a Definitive, Exclusive and Standard version with the option of pastel or vibrant colors. The Definitive version comes with a more elaborate base with a heart and Kuribohs, which costs roughly $419.99. The base is made out of resin, so it will be heavier. The Exclusive version comes with simple colored balls with hearts and stars on the base, which costs roughly $169.99 for the Exclusive version that lights up. For the Standard version, you’ll be looking at roughly $139.99. You’ll be able to find less expensive standard version at most typical US anime stores. I’ve seen the Crunchyroll Store pick up some of the Exclusive and Definitive versions before, but your best bet is the First 4 Figures website itself.

Last Thoughts
Recently, there have been some new releases of Dark Magician Girl figures due to the 25th year anniversary of Yu-Gi-Oh’s card game release. Max Factory re-released their 1/7 scale coming out in November of 2023. Megahouse is releasing a newer Dark Magician Girl under the Art Works Monster’s line, which is a part of their more ‘detailed’ oriented line of figures. However, nothing stands out more differently in the most positive ways than this First 4 Figures version.
Considering that there are six different versions of this figure, this one ends up being my happy medium. It’s not too expensive and not as gaudy as the Definitive version. If you still have that inner child in you, anything that lights up is just absolutely awesome. While this feature is a really cool plus, it stands alone as a great figure without it. So, the price tag for the Standard version for $139.99 is fair market value. At $169.99 for the Exclusive one that lights up, seems fair as well. The only thing that hurts is the $35 shipping if you are getting it straight from the F4F store. If you can find a store that picks up the Exclusive version, that would be the best value out of all of these versions.
Overall, I love the design and charm of this figure. It’s totally got me smitten right now! If you can deal with the average paint job and sculpt of the hair, I absolutely recommend this one to any Yu-Gi-Oh fan collector!
