Weiss Schwarz doesn’t have very many English exclusive series, so being that this is a very popular show that captured many of our childhoods, Avatar: The Last Airbender makes perfect sense!
I picked up this case at Gold Star Collectibles at $948.88. They have some of the best prices for cases/cartons of Weiss Schwarz.
(EN) Avatar Case
The carton or case comes with 18 booster boxes with 2 layers of 9 boosters. On top of the carton are 4 playmats

What Came in My Case
This is everything that comes in this set

Organization of Pack
- If pack comes with a CC and CR, the CR is the 2nd to last of the pack, pushing the rare to be the 3rd last pack, rather than being the 2nd to last in most packs
All My Hits

For my case, I received enough to make 2 base playsets, which is 4x of all C, U, CC, CR & RR. I received 1x of all the RRR except Zuko: Agni Kai (RRR) and was a bit short of the 22 SRs. I was missing the SR Aang: Learning Avatar State. That card is worth about $30.
For the main “hits” like ATR, SP and SEC rarity, I received 3 SPs and 3 ATRs! I’m still very new to this Weiss scene, but being able to pull 3 ATRs with the 3 SPs sounds like a very rich deal. Those ATR cards are worth around $30-100 each!
In regards to the SEC pulls, I’m not too sure if it comes in a master case (2-3 cases). Judging by the prices of the Zuko and Aang prices, I’m assuming that it does. Feel free to comment below if you guys can confirm!
SP (スペシャル) [ATLA/WX04-078SP] Katara: Desire to Help

SP (スペシャル) [ATLA/WX04-024SP] Toph: The Blind Bandit

SP (スペシャル) [ATLA/WX04-048SP] Zuko: Crossroads

ATR [ATLA/WX04-008ATR] Aang: Missing Companion

ATR [ATLA/WX04-080ATR] Katara: Quick Thinker

ATR [ATLA/WX04-057ATR] Ty Lee: Popular

What Stands Out?
On the negative side, the print quality doesn’t seem like it’s the best, but some of the SRs and higher end cards do look pretty good. When it comes to the condition of the card, many cards are not up to the standards of what I’ve experienced through many of the other Weiss Schwarz and Bushiroad cards in general. Some of the condition of the cards are kind of scuffed up on the sides of the card. I have quite a few RR cards that I wouldn’t consider “near mint or better” at all.
Even though this series doesn’t have the signature stamps on the SPs, the cards’s background with the foiling and stamps look really amazing. It’s always difficult to take really good pictures of these kinds of cards, but the in-person visuals are still outstanding!
Last Thoughts
As a set and long-term investment for collectors, I think this is going to be a winner. A strong IP with a big fan base with a limited enough supply equals a recipe for collectors like myself to be rewarded in the incoming years. It has only been a couple weeks, but as supply floods the market, a lot of the prices are still holding decently well. We’ll revisit some of these sets to see what they look like 6-12 months down the line. Not everything is going to be a Mushoku Tensei & Disney 100 level of success, but prices holding steady will tell us that there still remains strong demand vs supply.
For players, I will always defer to the actual players themselves. If somehow, my area ever develops a scene, I would love to get involved. But as of right now, I’m just strictly a collector, seller and “investor” (sounds so cringe, but I do plan on holding cards & sealed product for years).
