I bought this case off of AmiAmi. It’s one of my favorite places to import anime figures and now these various anime TCGs, including Weiss Schwarz Blau and ReBirth for you. It cost me roughly $867. In yen terms, it was ¥113,400 for the case and ¥5,165 for DHL shipping for a grand total of ¥120,632.

How I felt when I pulled Katana Man..

What Stands Out?

Like the recent Avatar print, some of the cardboard quality has been below the quality that I’m used to seeing from the older Weiss Schwarz cards. Luckily its mostly the Rs where I’ve noticed cardboard “scuff” or “dent” (not too sure the correct term), but the cardboard sides are kind of exposed. However, the nicer RRs and higher rares came out in really great quality and I think are worthy of being graded.

Card Art is Meh..

In terms of original and unique designs to the cards, it’s actually pretty underwhelming. I guess the signatures still look pretty nice on the SPs. I guess maybe I’m just salty about not pulling a CSMR.. This IP leans heavily on the popularity of the fanbase (like most do). In my case, I am one of those kind of fans that will seek a good amount of money into this. As a set for a collector, those CSMR cards really help boost the value of the overall set.

Last Thoughts

Overall, the set for visual beauty is underwhelming. However, the creators did do a good choice in capturing CSM’s best moments in the anime. Many of the most hilarious scenes do make their way onto these cards, which is CSM’s best quality as a manga/anime. The best OFR card (the Chainsaw Man one) is still in the Trial Decks. The CSMR cards are worth a lot—at least $500+ for the Chainsaw Man one and almost $2000 for the Makima one..

On the bright side for players, you can still create a 2x playset out of the case.
